Equipment Hire
As a full member of the club you can hire equipment to go paddling, subject to the small print. Complete the google form to submit your request for equipment hire and we will be in touch.

Small print: We do require you to have shown competancy at our river site in order for us to be satisfied you know how to use the equipment safely and responsibly. This requires prior sign off by a coach. We may not always be able to hire the equipment you want if it is planned to be in use for the club.
Peer Paddle Advice
Groups during a peer paddle need to make sure everyone understands the paddle they are on; can they paddle the level of water, help others if needed, know how to call for outside help if everything goes wrong.
Communication is everything on peer paddles, you may not want to appoint a leader but if you have been there before offer up your knowledge on any risks or insights you might have so the group can benefit. Remember the principle that a group of competent paddlers doesn't make a competent or coherent group.
If in doubt before a rapid get out and recce. Know your limits and when to call it a day, it's supposed to be fun after all.
Peer paddles are organised amongst friends or on social media groups, and are not sanctioned by the club. If you want to hire equipment for a peer paddle, you need to be a member of Sheffield Canoe Club and competent paddler, signed off by a coach, and get in touch using the equipment booking form in plenty of time so you can arrange collection.
