Our Club

Manx Adventure & Expo is a welcoming and inclusive club for outdoor enthusiasts, making full use of everything the Isle of Man has to offer.

Our members come from all walks of life and range from those just beginning to explore the outdoors to wild mountain hermits with a lifetime of experience. 

We're always happy to make new friends and encourage anyone to come along to our club events and take part. Whether you're new to the outdoors and seeking your next thrill or an old hand wanting to share your skills, we adapt all our adventures to suit the abilities of the group. Don't worry if you don't have any kit as it can nearly always be borrowed.

Activities

The club meets regularly all over the island to take part in a wide variety of adventurous activities, including: hiking, climbing, river walking, kayaking, coasteering, orienteering, camping, paddle boarding, trekking, camping, and many other social events. All of our activities are posted on our member’s Facebook page which you will be added to when you join the club. 

Affiliation

Manx Adventure & Expo is affiliated with the British Mountaineering Council (BMC) and Paddle UK.  They are the national representative bodies protecting our freedoms and promoting the interests of climbers, hill walkers and mountaineers, kayakers and paddleboarders. 

Our members are automatically club members of the BMC and Paddle UK.

Benefits include civil liability insurance for UK mountain activities and paddlesports, access to specialist activity travel insurance, and discounts on outdoor gear at many outlets.

History

The founding members of Manx A&E all took part in a circumnavigation of the Isle of Man by kayak in 2020. They continued to find homegrown adventures all over the island and wanted to share their experiences with others.
